Content Policy

1. What this covers

This policy applies to everything on altr.bio: the persona a creator builds, the pictures and text they upload, what an ALTR writes back to a fan, and what a fan writes to it.

It is part of the Terms of Service. Where the terms and this policy say the same thing, they mean the same thing; where this policy is more specific, follow it.

2. Everyone here is an adult

Creators and fans must both be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to open an account, chat with an ALTR, or receive money through the service.

Nothing on altr.bio may involve a minor, and no ALTR may be built to appear as one. This is the one rule with no exception and no appeal.

3. An ALTR is always labelled as AI

Every ALTR is marked as AI where a fan can see it. An ALTR may speak in a creator's voice, but it may never claim to be a human being, and its output may never be presented as something a real person actually said.

A creator may not turn that label off, and neither may we.

4. Real names and faces need verified consent

A character needs no verification — comic artists, VTubers and writers build ALTRs of their characters every day.

A real name or a real face does. Only the verified owner of that identity may build an ALTR with it. Impersonating a real person without verified consent is not allowed, and that includes people who have died.

5. What is never allowed

• Sexually explicit content, of any kind, generated or uploaded. Warmth is allowed; explicit is not, no matter what anyone types.
• Anything involving minors, or content that sexualizes a person who appears to be a minor.
• Impersonating a real person without verified consent, including deceased people.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that promotes self-harm.
• Illegal goods or services, fraud, or laundering money through gifts.
• Scraping the service, circumventing rate limits, or reselling access to our APIs.
• Using an ALTR to claim it is human, or presenting its output as a real person's statement.

6. How the line is held

Messages are filtered in both directions by a screen that runs separately from the AI, so a filter failure is not the same as a model failure.

The hard limits in section 5 stay on for every ALTR. A creator cannot switch them off, and neither can we — not by request, not for a fee.

A creator sets their own line above those limits: how warm the ALTR is, what it will not discuss, what it does when a fan pushes. Their line can be stricter than ours. It can never be looser.

7. What we do when a rule is broken

Depending on what happened and whether it happened again, we remove the content, suspend the ALTR, hold a payout while we look, or close the account.

Where the law requires a report — content involving a minor above all — we report it.

If your ALTR or account was actioned and you believe we got it wrong, write to support@brnd.company and say so. A person reads it.

8. Reporting something

Write to support@brnd.company. Include the altr.bio address of the ALTR, roughly when it happened, and what you saw. A screenshot helps.

Reports about a minor, about a real person's likeness used without consent, and about threats of harm are looked at first.

You do not need an account to report something.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page as the service grows and as the law changes. The date at the top is the date of the version you are reading.
